Finding Myself "Work in Progress"- Lucy Jumba, 39 Yrs. Dubai - UAE | Ep 9.

What inspired you to pursue this journey, and how did you overcome initial challenges? The fact that I needed to find myself, and let go off everything, having the ambition to rebuilding my life as whole and not broken is what inspired me.

It hasn't been easy, I have been able to overcome my challenges by keeping close to God. Every time I feel like I am breaking down, I shield myself in God through prayers and at times I sing to praise His name knowing well that I get comfort in Him.

I also have had great friends who have kept me going with words of encouragement.

Please share a significant moment or decision that played a significant role in your success? Accepting to be the single mother I am, and owning up all the responsibilities to bring up my son single handedly.

This has come along with so many blessings to my life and my sons’ life, It has connected me to many friends I have met that became part of my family.

Finding myself In a lost and broken relationship threw me in storms and dilemma, scars that I had not planned to sooth, but I had to learn to pick the pieces and move on.

How do you navigate work-life balance and maintain your well-being amidst the success? With less quality time to my loved ones especially my Son, it's a challenge considering that I stay far away from him due to the nature of work I do, but I always create time to call home and check on him regularly especially in the evenings. I am hopeful that someday soon, all will be alright.

What advice would you give to aspiring women on a similar journey or who dream of the same kind of success? Being a single mother is not a crime. Once you forgive yourself and stop bleeding on others once you're hurt, you realise that you can manage to put a smile on your face again.

As a woman don't find comfort in a bond that will make you fall apart. When you're hurt in a relationship and your intuition tells you it's time to leave everything behind, be strong enough to say goodbye and create a better life for yourself and your dependants.

In the face of setbacks, how do you stay resilient and continue to thrive in your journey? Prayer! Prayer! Prayer! has been my key song. I have learned to pray not only in my difficult time but also in my good times. This has really helped me to be on check despite the devil always being ready with setbacks.

I have learned to also talk to a few friends that can relate to my story and understand me. I am also on the journey of learning how to forgive and forget .
